Welcome
Welcome to my
external homepage. This is just a collection of some useful and
not so useful tidbits about me. As with most homepages, this is
still a work in progress. See my
internal homepage for some recent presentation and project information.

Christopher White
is a distinguished member of technical staff in the Scientific
Computing department at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, N.J. He holds
Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in chemistry from
Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. degree in theoretical quantum
chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. His research
interests include the development of computational methods for the
simulation of interesting physical systems. Example projects have
included acoustic scattering in colloidal suspensions, the design of
nanostructured materials, and the design and optimization of optical
devices. Currently, Dr. White's work focuses on the simulation and
control of highly transparent optical mesh networks.
